Characterized by large dimensions, the Luminor has always been a men’s watch. Lately Panerai Replica has been winking more and more at the female world and this year presents the Luminor Due 38mm in a new guise, adding for the first time a complication to the model historically born as a time-only model.
The moon phases, the so-called poetic complication, are the center of the new Panerai Luminor Due Luna, underlined by the word Luna appearing on the dial.
Available in four versions, Luminor Due Luna aims to become a pillar of the Luminor Due family. In each variant, the complication, positioned at 3 o’clock, is visible through a rotating disc with a 24-karat gold moon set against a midnight blue starry sky.
Aesthetics
Panerai has provided several references to attract a wider audience. The Luminor Due Luna Madreperla is characterized by a mother-of-pearl dial and a case made of Panerai GoldtechTM, an alloy containing platinum and a high percentage of copper, which displays an intense red hue.
Two Luminor Due Luna references, both with steel cases, feature white dials with a satiné soleil finish with the typical Panerai sandwich structure and beige Super-LumiNovaTM inside the numerals, indexes and hands.
While one of the two references sports a shiny pink alligator strap (PAM01180), the other is equipped with a steel Luminor Due bracelet whose links reflect the profile of Panerai’s typical patented crown protection device.
The last option, with a steel case, blue sandwich dial with satiné soleil finish (PAM01179) and matching shiny blue alligator strap, is characterized by monochromatic continuity. The case measures 38 mm in diameter overall.

Movement
The Luminor Due Luna are powered by the Panerai P900/MP caliber, a manufacture movement with a thickness of just 5.9 mm and is an automatic movement with three days of power reserve.
The moon phases are indicated in a window at 3 o’clock, on the opposite side of the Luminor’s iconic continuous seconds. The Luminor Due Luna references (PAM01179, PAM01180, PAM01181) are equipped with the Panerai interchangeability system, which allows you to replace the strap without the use of tools.
