The historical beginnings of Cartier as a watch brand
The founding father of the family empire was Louis-François Cartier Replica. The Tank is one of the iconic Cartier watches that the manufacturer first presented in 1917. It is characterized by its rectangular case and clear, simple lines. Since the Tank was introduced, Cartier has released countless variants of the watch. Particularly popular models are in the Française, Must and Louis Cartier ranges.
Cartier Santos
The Cartier Santos, first introduced in 1904, was the first wristwatch for men and is known for its distinctive square case with the characteristic screws on the bezel. Another distinctive design feature is the Art Deco-style Roman numerals on the dial. The Santos-Dumont and Santos de Cartier series are available and are made in stainless steel, gold, bicolor and, in the case of the Santos-Dumont, also in platinum.
Cartier Ballon Bleu
The Ballon Bleu collection consists of round, elegant watches. The series is characterized by a blue sapphire or spinel cabochon that adorns the winding crown of each Ballon Bleu. The cabochon is also surrounded by a ring that acts as a crown protector. The women’s and men’s watches are available in yellow or rose gold as well as stainless steel or bicolor.
Cartier Panthère
The Cartier Panthère has been part of Cartier’s range since 1914, as mentioned above. There are several Panthère collections, of which the Panthère de Cartier is probably the most well-known. Visually, the watches are very reminiscent of Santos models, but due to their size and the use of quartz movements, they are aimed more at female customers. When it comes to materials, you can choose between gold, stainless steel or bicolor.
Cartier Pasha
The Pasha collection has been part of the Cartier range since the mid-1980s. Typical of the Pasha series is the so-called chain crown. This is connected to the case via a short chain. Another distinguishing feature are the four Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. Within the collection you will find classic three-hand watches, chronographs as well as versions with moon phase or tourbillon.
