The strap and crown match the color of the dial ring, an ultra-light case in two sizes and a very accurate quartz mechanism. This is Endurance Pro – a watch for active people.
The name Breitling Replica is most associated with mechanical “aviators”, but we often forget that the company also offers specialized quartz watches designed for professionals. Just mention the Aerospace series or the multi-functional Emergency, which is used by many professional pilots and took part in various search and rescue missions. Four years ago, shortly before the start of Geneva Watch Days, the first mass event since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, these models were joined by the new Endurance Pro series, designed in cooperation with triathlete Jan Frodeno.
The more casual Endurance Pro was housed in a large, 44-mm case made of the company’s patented, ultra-light Breitlight composite, and was powered by the quartz caliber 82 (also patented and certified as a chronometer by COSC), which is ten times more accurate than standard quartz mechanisms.
Recently, new competitors joined the Breitling triathlon “team”: Lucy Charles-Barclay, the current Ironman women’s world champion, and Sam Laidlow, the youngest winner in Ironman history, and the Endurance Pro series – new, colorful models available in two sizes. The previously existing versions, packaged in 44mm black cases, now arrive with new rubber straps in navy blue, orange, white and blue.
However, the real novelty are the Endurance Pro models in compact, 38-mm cases (water resistance 100 m), also made of black Breitlight composite. As in the larger variants, these more unisex versions have crowns and rubber straps that match the color of the ring on the dial (here you can choose from the following shades: purple, pink, white, light blue or red).
Other features of the Endurance Pro models remain unchanged, i.e. a rotating bezel with engraved cardinal directions, enlarged Arabic numerals for the hours. 3, 6 and 9, three counters (a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock and two stopwatch counters: a 12-hour counter at 2 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 10 o’clock) and a date window between 4. and 5.
Due to the size of the case, the 38mm variants are powered by a scaled-down version of the Caliber 82, the quartz Caliber 83, which is also certified as a chronometer by the COSC.
Each version has been designed in such a way that it works even in extreme conditions (the future owner can test his watch, for example, during an Ironman start). To emphasize the sporty nature of the Endurance Pro series, the brand has planned a new advertising campaign with the participation of four athletes from the Breitling triathlon team: Jan Frodeno, Daniela Ryf, Lucy Charles-Barclay and Sam Laidlow.
