The Genevan manufacturer founded in 1839 and today one of the few remaining independent, has recently launched the new Patek Philippe 5270T, a unique piece that will be the subject of an auction that Phillips will hold on November 7th and whose proceeds will be donated to Children Action foundation which supports less fortunate children in the world.
Patek has been supporting Chidren Action for years with its special pieces. In 2018, a unique Calatrava Pilot Travel Time raised a record amount of 2.3 million Swiss Francs for the charitable foundation.
Patek Philippe 5270
Introduced for the first time in 2011, this reference remained underestimated for a long time as it is a chronograph with a perpetual calendar, but before it several more iconic references left the Maison’s factories including the 5970, 3970, 2499 and the 1518 .
In 2024 it was created in the reference 5270J whose letter unequivocally identifies that the case is in yellow gold.
Still, it’s a nice piece. The case that contains it measures 41 mm, a rather generous size for a Patek Philippe. It is powered by the recent CH 29-535 PS Q caliber manufacture movement.
Just to be clear, with the chronograph, perpetual calendar and moon phase functions, it is a fine and highly complicated movement, but the finishes are not so impeccable and very artisanal when compared to similar products made by historic Maisons of the same level such as Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin.
But the value that a ref 5270 acquires is able – at least economically speaking – to make up for these shortcomings.
Patek Philippe Replica 5270T Green Dial for Chidren Action
Thanks to the unusual combination of a titanium case and an emerald green sunray-decorated dial, you can bet that this unique Patek 5270T will shatter all existing records.
The aesthetic execution is impeccable. The case in the unusual shade of gray cut with an eternal design that borders on perfection, offers a slightly concave bezel, two-level lugs and buttons with a satin and polished finish.
The emerald green dial makes this 5270 both casual and unique. The color is taken up by the longitudinal stitching of the strap.
The CH 29-535 PS Q caliber appears through a transparent sapphire crystal caseback engraved with the metallic inscription “Children Action 2022”. The timepiece also features an interchangeable full caseback made of solid titanium.
