With the Hublot Big Bang Classic Fusion Essential Grey, Hublot Replica is launching two models in different sized cases made of lightweight titanium. We will briefly introduce the two watches and their elegant, monochrome aesthetics.
Of course, Loriot connoisseurs will twitch their mouths in amusement when the manufacturer praises a watch with the expression “in a brilliant grey”. However, it would be an injustice to describe the new Hublot Classic Fusion Essential Grey in the style of Loriot as “mouse grey, ash grey or stone grey”.
In fact, the cases of the three-hand watches with date, available in sizes 42 mm and 45 mm, actually have an attractive grey sheen. This is based on an elaborate satin finish on the titanium bezel, or the polishing of the surfaces of the titanium case. The non-rotating bezel also features Hublot’s own distinctive H-shaped screws, which fix and press the case and the anti-reflective watch glass together, adding small, sparkling accents.

The two different sizes of the Classic Fusion differ not only in the size of the satin-finished and polished titanium case, or the respective integrated bracelet. Rather, Hublot equips the two Essential Grey models of the Classic Fusion models with different movements that are adapted to the respective case size.

The different versions of the Essential Grey models do not only differ in the size of the case. The height is also slightly different. The 42 mm version is only 10.4 mm high. The 45 mm model, on the other hand, has a height of 10.95 mm.
In the smaller case, the Hublot caliber HUB1110 with 25 jewels ticks at a frequency of 28,800 rpm or 4 Hz. The 42 mm Essential Grey model has a power reserve of 42 hours. The Classic Fusion in the 45 mm case, on the other hand, is equipped with the HUB1112 caliber from the factory. This movement also works at 4 Hz and offers the same power reserve of 42 hours in total.
