Luxury watches are a fascinating universe that fascinates millions of collectors all over the world. We are talking about a sector that over the decades has largely gone beyond the simple sphere of mere utility, to transform itself into objects of desire such as works of art, in some cases, or forms of investment, without forgetting that the segment is vast and includes even cheap luxury watches.
When can a watch be defined as luxury?
Contrary to what many people think, it is not the price, exclusively, that makes a watch – or any other object – “luxury”. In our ranking you will notice a price range that fluctuates from just over €2,000 to more than €100,000.
What makes a luxury watch is, however, a combination of factors. Quality, for example, is a fundamental element, as is refinement or a stroke of genius in the details (particular shapes or colors, a dial decorated in a particular way, a strap), without forgetting the possible limited edition, a very important element that it makes any object automatically more rare and exclusive, and therefore more desired.
Then there are French luxury Replica Watches, another country that has given a lot to the world in terms of watches of great value, with brands such as Pequignet, Baltic and Yema, in recent times, and renowned brands such as Cartier and legendary ones such as Breguet which, despite having French origins, they have long since abandoned their native land to join the Richemont and Swatch groups, respectively.
And our country? In an old article of ours we addressed the topic of made in Italy, with an excursus on the most appreciated Italian luxury watch brands.
On yet another occasion, however, we focused on the Japanese market, analyzing the best Japanese luxury watch brands and why to choose them.
What if we told you that Chinese luxury watches also exist?
As far as Chinese watches are concerned, most of the time we tend to associate the term made in China with low-end products, yet there is another face of made in China which, on the contrary, is synonymous with luxury.
Among all, the name to keep in mind is that of the Seagull Watch Group, probably the largest Chinese luxury watch company. Founded in Tianjin in ’55, in 2023 this giant launched the Warpath 40mm Multi Function Manual Pilot Chronograph Watch.

10 – Konstantin Chaykin x Louis Erard Time Eater
From the fusion of the genius of the independent Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin and that of the Swiss watchmaker Louis Erard, the Time Eater model was born: a true work of art as eccentric in appearance as in functionality. On this model, in fact, only the minutes are marked on the main dial, while the hours are marked on a smaller, eye-shaped secondary dial. The result is a watch that resembles a funny alien cyclops with sharp teeth.
